Sri. Gattu Shankar’s journey towards founding Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam is deeply connected with his personal experiences and his ambition to create a positive Impact in the lives of those facing adversity, misery, particularly individuals with mental and physical disabilities.
Sri. Gattu Shankar witnessed the most tough and difficult situations endured by his brother, who was not only mentally challenged but also physically handicapped. Unfortunately, his brother neglected by the community, faced discrimination and mistreatment from society, which ultimately led to his untimely death. This painful situation and helpless condition left a profound impact on Sri. Gattu Shankar, driving him to take an action to ensure that others like his brother would not suffer the same fate.
Determined to create a Healthy, Powerful , supportive and caring environment for individuals with similar challenges, Sri. Gattu Shankar made a very bold decision to establish Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam. This decision was not only a testament to his unwavering dedication to social service but also a tribute to his brother’s memory.
In 2010, Sri. Gattu Shankar took the first step towards realizing his vision by laying the foundation stone for the organization. This marked the beginning of a journey dedicated to providing holistic care, support, and empowerment to individuals in need, irrespective of their background or abilities.
As of now Shelter home is taking care of more than 600 mentally challenged people.
Foundation is providing the basic facilities for each and every individual ,looking after their health conditions ,food ,shelter and other necessary things.
Through Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam, Sri. Gattu Shankar aims to create a compassionate and inclusive community where every individual is valued, respected, and given the opportunity to thrive. His tireless efforts and unwavering commitment serve as an inspiration to others, highlighting the transformative power of empathy, compassion, and social responsibility.
